Love it... The backsplash is beautiful. Very relaxing
Early American
Colonial kitchens were simple, utilitarian rooms. A massive brick fireplace, the hearth, was where meals were prepared in iron pots with wooden utensils. The workspace was also straightforward—usually just a freestanding wooden table. Dish storage was typically a plain hutch painted in a muted red, green, or blue. Vegetables were stored in a larder or root cellar located off the main kitchen. While most of us would cringe at the thought of hauling water and stoking a fire as early American cooks had to do, we still may want to capture the essence of these old spaces if we have an old or reproduction colonial.
Hallmarks: Introduce Shaker inspired cabinetry with a coat of milk paint, a large soapstone sink, and reclaimed pine or salvaged brick flooring. A freestanding worktable offers the look of authenticity. Another trick is to hide your appliances behind panels. To really turn back the clock, introduce a fireplace and brick oven.
Very nice
I just painted my cabinets shiny black and am going with a black and grey backsplash. This goes with black and white tile and a black glass table with chrome legs along with chrome track lighting. Am thinking about playing with the lighting and adding LED varied color lighting under the cabinets to give the black some character as we dine in candlelight. Any suggestions?
I am Tuscan style person Old world is my thing
Sorry, have never liked any form of modern. It's a very cold look & feel. Personally would never enjoy cooking or eating in that type of atmosphere.
This has great light, rustic wood and beautiful countertops! Are they soapstone?
The countertops are limestone which they used all throughout the kitchen. Here is the direct link of the project if you would like more information:

This is stunning!
Love this backsplash. I've always loved white cabinets and dark wooden floors. Looks so clean and neat. Homeowner can add their own colors with accessories.
Wow - it would work so well in my space...
Love them all.
Love the look!
What kind of countertops are in this kitchen?
What's the name of the tile on the backsplash?
The backsplash is a glass mosaic by Waterworks. You can find the information within the kitchen project Modern Bungalow
What a beautiful kitchen, I love the backsplash!
