This summer I had a sheet cake made for a birthday and found that cabinet-flush refrigerators (like a Sub-Zero I tried) are too shallow. I had to use an older model GE, which really made me rethink this idea of wider and shallower appliances. It depends upon your needs - it's not always better.
Tackling a kitchen renovation can feel overwhelming with the dizzying array of choices available. Any custom cabinet make can make a standard refrigerator work in your kitchen by making your refrigerator cabinet deeper, much like what is done here. The pantries on each side of the refrigerator are deeper than the cabinetry to the right which includes the dishwasher. Ideally, you want your countertop to be able to die into the side of a cabinet not stick out past it.
