Katherine Rice
Cultivate Staff
After a few overwhelming kitchen remodel projects, Katherine, creator of Cultivate, saw a need for an online resource for curated kitchen design. The result, Cultivate.com, sifts through the rubble to feature only the most elevated kitchen designs. Having spent 10 years in home décor and entertaining at Williams-Sonoma, Katherine has an eye for style and a passion for the kitchen. When not at her desk, she can be found in her transitional, open kitchen, the center of her life at home, in Mill Valley, CA with her 8-year-old daughter.

Residing in San Francisco’s Mission District, he appreciates transitional style and functional design. In his spare time, you can find him browsing tile patterns at the local Heath Ceramics showroom.
Sarah Latta
Cultivate Staff
The overseer of all things content on Cultivate, Sarah admittedly thinks about the look of her kitchen more than she does the food that gets cooked in it. A true fan of all kitchen styles (when designed well!) her favorite cook spaces are those that feature an interesting mix of materials—think, Calcutta counters with a range hood made of rustic floorboards. Having worked as an editor at various shelter magazines, home design is her sweet spot and kitchens, her passion.
