Located in Manhattan Beach, this beautiful eclectic home was recently remodeled by CEK Design. The kitchen, which is the first project we tackled, has a slight Mediterranean influence. The main cabinets were first painted in a cream color and then glazed, while the island was built to resemble a piece of furniture and stained in a rich mahogany. The counters are granite, the backsplash a tumbled stone and all the appliances are stainless steel. The oversized pendants are actually small chandeliers and, since we chose mostly neutral colors, the window treatment, chair seats and small accents all in shades of red bring color to the room.
