The beach house is sited within a primary dune on the ocean with distant views of the bay. The kitchen follows the same design sensibility as the overall house. Located on the east side and directly facing the ocean and dunes, the space is flooded with natural light throughout the day. Custom matte laquered cabinets, and the same limestone countertops as the floors and patios reduce the scale of a the large kitchen that is run by a resident chef and a center of constant activity. A breakfast area with a George Nakashima designed table and comfortable chairs provides an intimate seating area and respite for the family.
