Save it to your FavoritesThe property lies in an area of modest fishing cottages and salt-water inlets that remain remarkably unspoiled. The main level is a 90-foot slab of glass and steel raised to avoid flooding and to gain water views and summer breezes, floating like a bridge, perpendicular to the walkway. Inside, the house is furnished with spartan restraint where views of water and wild sunsets are the real decoration. The kitchen is comprised of two floating islands atop a polished concrete floor; simple in their appearance while meeting the complex needs of a gourmet cook who despises clutter. The custom designed wall opposite the islands contains an abundance of storage and appliances while offering no clues once the doors are closed. The kitchen and living area extend out towards a terrace with a swimming pool that spills over the edge of the pool wall creating a gentle waterfall sound while connecting the pool to the bay beyond.
