When you hear the word "Loft" it may trigger an image of a romantically industrial warehouse space in the middle of a busy metropolis. Spaces are raw, flexible and often boast exposed beams and pipes. The challenge with this loft kitchen was to create a real chef's oasis and anchor it as the hearth of the home whilst staying true to the unconventionality of loft living.

Appliances were chosen not only for their refined industrial beauty, but for real productivity. The Abbaka hood boasts 1400 CFM and is whisper quiet, as is the Sub-Zero Pro 48 - an important element when you live in a space with no traditional walls.

The countertops were manufactured by Syndecrete - a highly regarded green material that comes in dimensions well-suited for a clean, modern look.

All cabinetry was designed by bespoke design and fabricated by California Custom Woodworks in El Cajon, CA. The intent behind the curved undulating design was to contrast the loft's industrial elements by adding a level of warmth and fluidity with both form and color.
