The house was built in 1978 and saw at least one uninspired remodel before the current owners purchased the house in 2009. Wanting to maintain the charm of their Cape Cod style house and an eclectic look, they decided on classic Antique White cabinets with Absolute Black honed granite, a custom designed oak island stained to match a large piece of furniture and an integrated refrigerator that looks like an armoire with distressed/weathered red panels. The result is charming! It looks and feels like a room that happens to be the kitchen. Moving the washer/dryer upstairs and taking out a coat closet that were in the kitchen allowed for the refrigerator to be a free standing piece and for an already existing piece of furniture that was in another room to find a new home.
