A family of five with two avid cooks renovates their 1918 historic home to accommodate a "chef's eat-in kitchen" with plenty of space for entertaining and daily family meals. To marry their tastes for both the historic traditional aspects of the formal parts of the home with the modern art they collect and the way they live was the challenge in this magnificent project. The goals were achieved by keeping the materials refined, warm and historic while designing them in a modern and clean way. As one walks into this kitchen you are transformed by the openness but you definitely get the sense that it works with the rest of the home.
