This Portland kitchen used to have a very confined layout. There was a large wall blocking the kitchen off from the dining area- which made the kitchen feel alone as well as not having enough counter and cabinetry space. We removed the wall to open it up as well as closing off a door way to allow for more counter space.
The kitchen cabinets are locally salvaged Douglas Fir and the Portland based cabinet shop grain matched every piece. The natural movement through the cabinets make the kitchen a wonderful artistic backdrop. We added frosted glass tile by Ann Sacks as the back splash. The counters are quartz by Chroma.
