The cabinets of sandblasted and bleached oak are flush throughout, with quarter-inch reveals creating a rhythm of traditional panels without the fuss. The island is framed by massive pieces of walnut which frame a top of dark brown limestone. We created shelves along the front of the island for a large collection of cook books. There is an elegance to the room - but no formality.
