This is not your run of the mill traditional design for a wine country kitchen: this is our take on using traditional elements in a fresh way. Our clients like their country with a dressy feel to it, so we used stunning walnut stock to make the cabinets and then lightly sandblasted and limed them. The effect is soft but fine. Because the room is on the dark side, we used antique mirror for all of the cabinet panels. Fresh white Calacatta Oro countertops and exposed stone walls finish the palette. This unexpected combination makes a smashing kitchen.
