In order to improve the flow of this ocean-view kitchen in Tiburon, CA, designer Julie Williams reworked the layout and relocated a door to make it easier to move about the kitchen. She also designed a larger island to give plenty of room for this busy family to cook and entertain in style.  An informal eating nook with bench seating was oriented to take advantage of the beautiful water views. In contrast to the jumbled feeling of the former kitchen (see the before photo), the new kitchen feels spacious and sophisticated. Williams took design cues for the entire space from the clients’ collection of French inspired art and furniture. The new palette features soft greys and warm whites with hints of plum.
