Although I really like this kitchen (I have a small kitchen), this is a kitchen for tall people. Quite a few of the cabinets, which would seem to be for frequently used items, are very high.
The ceilings are about 8'-6" in this kitchen, so not overly tall, and with the small footprint, it was important to the homeowner to get as much storage as possible. With the added base-cabinet storage in the new peninsula, there was plenty of space for everyday items to be at arms reach, and items used less frequently were in the upper cabinets, such as above the fridge. Every inch of this kitchen was maximized - the homeowners were very happy, which in the end is what matters most.
I love the black countertops with the white and green tiles.
