We tried to create harmonius proportions in the kitchen by balancing the three main work/living areas. The island in the center is the same length as both the stainless inset wall and the breakfast alcove. A wall of stainless steel-sheathed cabinetry integrates with the range, creating one large appliance wall. Kitchen island is clad in reclaimed oak with a matte black honed granite countertop, over stained concrete floors.
