The designers' challenge was to create a custom kitchen which would appeal to a wide buyer audience in this new construction 6000+ square foot spec home. A 3 cm. thick calacatta marble island countertop, white apron front fireclay farmer sink, Rohl polished nickel faucet and pot filler, a wine bar with hammered nickel under-mount sink, and high end appliances completed this dream kitchen.

With today's busy lifestyles, it was also important to accommodate an area to dock phones, laptops, and other electronic devices. The message center incorporated cubbies to sort mail and power sources behind cabinet doors to hide devices while charging for a clean look.

Selecting a cabinet finish and door style was one of the more important decisions. With inspiration from the Ben Moore paint fan deck, a warm white was chosen. The door style on the cabinetry, a recessed panel, mimicked the interior doors and wainscot panels throughout this custom home.
