A growing family of four (along with their dog and two cats) found their dream home, where they could spread out and start fresh. The concept for the space was to embody a growing family, mixing the European style of the husband, who is German, with the wife's more traditional taste. To create the right blend, modern and clean-lined were mixed with a barn board sideboard and a farmhouse table. Integrated pieces that are vintage and worn, such as school pendant lights, with the juxtaposition of modern Italian glass ball lights and Eames style moulded plastic chairs, give just the right infusion of high-style and comfort. The feeling of the space is warm and cozy, but it still speaks to contemporary taste. Cream fabrics, warm white paints, and soft window coverings make it a room you want to spend time in.
