Our client came to us requesting a room that Martha Stewart would happily call her own. Beautiful and functional, but well equipped for young children, as well.
An understated palette was used, incorporating rich vanilla cabinetry, soft blue/green paints with warm walnut floors. The sparkle of the marble and soapstone countertops captures the light in the space. We decided to forgo the statement pieces such as prominent hoods and big chandeliers.
The island has a double trough sink to enhance efficiency and is joined on one end by a table that can be rolled to wherever it is needed, serving as a buffet or impromptu workstation.
The walk in storage pantry was designed so that it would look good with doors open or closed.
Extra features: The lower cabinets are equipped with a magnetized locking system to keep children out. The butlers pantry features silvercloth drawers for storage.
