WINNER: GRAND AWARD / REMODELING MAGAZINE / “2008 Remodeling Design Awards”

AS SEEN IN BON APPETIT MAGAZINE: "The New Dream Kitchen"

This Stick Style Victorian in the Sherman Heights Historic District was originally built in 1898. At the time of its construction, the historic San Diego home was an elaborate middle class home, but years of neglect had faded the Victorian’s beauty.

Homeowners with a passion for preservation (and enthusiasm for color) lovingly restored the historic home to its former glory — respecting traditions while bringing it thoughtfully into the 21st century. They hired Lisa Wilson-Wirth, CKD, to create a chef-quality, modern Italian kitchen that would complement the traditional character of the house.

The result: An award-winning kitchen design, winner of the prestigious national “Grand Award” in Remodeling magazine’s “2008 Design Awards” and recognition for excellence in the category of “Old Home Renovation.” The selection of Arclinea’s “Papaya Giallo” cabinetry makes for a bold culinary-inspired design. The custom Artusi kitchen accommodates day-to-day domestic needs, where a passion for cooking and dining together are equally at home.
