I am looking for a sturdy, well constructed breakfast table. I saw a table in a photo gallery online, but I wasn't sure where these items were purchased? Any stores and/or brands to focus on? Do not like run-of-the-mill furniture stores.

If you are looking for something special, do a search with words such as "bespoke", "custom", "handmade", and so on. In addition, look to design centers in many of the larger cities such as the Merchandise Mart properties in which you can find many good quality manufacturers.
