Granite and Soapstone countertops are considered to be the most dense materials used as countertops. However, soapstone can be a little softer than granite which can reveak sine scratches while granite can be more susceptable to stain compared to soapstone. We have several articles that are great references for countertops:
Quartz countertops such as Silestone, Cambria or Caesarstone are non-porous and as such won't stain over time in the way that natural stones can. Because they are non-porous, they also don't require sealing or waxing to inhibit moisure, so the lustre of the initial polish doesn't wear off over time.
