While we are not looking to replace our dishwasher yet, we are in need of a new stove and refrigerator. Can I add stainless steel appliances if my dishwasher is white?

Great question. Having stainless steel appliances with a white dishwasher should work in your kitchen. White and stainless steel are neutral colors that don't compete with one another. So because the dishwasher sits under the counter in a discrete way, the color differences shouldn't be too extreme where one stands out more than the other.

I found that using Stainless appliances with my style of kitchen (1930's) would look ridiculous, so I chose to stay with white appliances. They are significantly more easy to keep clean and maintain the styling I preferred for my kitchen.
